Foundation Trustees Jill and Sheldon Bonovitz Discuss their Collection

William Hawkins / Khrushchev Collage / Enamel on Masonite / 48 x 39 in. / Courtesy Phyllis Kind Gallery

Listen to Foundation trustees Jill and Sheldon Bonovitz discuss their collection and its formation on the artblog. Their conversation touches on one of the first self-taught works they purchased (a William Hawkins), what they feel a collection should be, and how they have created a focused collection of work by American self-taught artists.

Greetings, and welcome to Foundation STAART’s new blog!

Hello, and welcome to the Foundation’s new blog!

I will regularly update this page with information relating to the study of self-taught American artists and their work. Please send tips on interesting articles, exhibitions, conferences, or ideas to ccampbell@foundationstaart.org.

I look forward to hearing from you, and to launching this fantastic interactive forum!

All my best,

Cara
